  • Golf Tournament - Despite a rainey beginning, this year's golf fundraiser was again a success. On Sunday August 15th at 1 p.m. at Mountain Manor Golf Club the Knights, their ladies and friends enjoyed the day, the food and the good times. Thanks Bill Pipolo for leading this annual event.
  • Fr. Ed Farewell Picnic - On Sunday June 13th at High Acres Park the Knights and the Ladies Guild sponsored a Parish wide Farewell Picnic for Father Ed. The event is being planned to be particularly enjoyable for our young members and children. Despite some rain it was well attended and everyone seemed to have fun. Click for pictures.
  • Bishop Bambera Welcome - Our Trustee and District Deputy Frank Trickel sent a welcome letter to Bishop Bambera on behalf of all our Knights congratulating him on his installation as the tenth Bishop of the Diocese of Scranton. • Annual ARC fundraiser - On three weekends in May, Knights manned kioscs at Lewis' Market and Dutch's Market to raise over $1,100. for people suffering from mental and cognitive disabilities. Volunteers reported several heartwarming stories about the generosity of the community.
  • "Kentucky Derby" Nite at the Races - May 1st - On the first Saturday in May, in conjunction with the Kentucky Derby, a frolicking good time was had when the Daniels Family Resort in Canadensis and the Knights of Columbus Council #12447 sponsored the third annual Kentucky Derby “Nite at the Races” fundraiser. Following the Derby a buffet dinner was served and the Knights began the first of 12 Horse Races. Attending Ladies (and Gentlemen) wore their most gorgeous bonnets and entered the prestigious “Bonnet Contest”. Madeleine Forssell won for "Most Beautiful Bonnett" and Rich McLaughlin won for "Originality". A huge number of door prizes were handed out and fantastic gifts raffled. Click for Pictures
  • Fishing with the Knights - On April 24th, a beautiful Saturday morning, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the birds were chirping AND THE FISH WERE BITING. A great time was had by all, with free food for the kids, prizes for just about everyone, and a great family atmosphere. Click for pix.
  • Adopt-A-Road Cleanup - Eight volunteers made light work of the Rt 447 road cleanup this year. Our semi-annual effort is paying dividends as the workload gets lighter each year. As an added treat this year, the Barrett Twp Concerned Citizens treated everyone to breakfast at High Acres Park. Click for pix.
